What manufacturing processes do you offer?
We provide a full range of custom manufacturing services, including 3-4-5 axis CNC milling, CNC turning, turn-milling machining, grinding, EDM/WEDM, Aluminum Extrusion, sheet metal stamping, laser cutting, injection molding（ die building, silicone molding, rapid molding, etc）, die casting, 3D printing/additive manufacturing (SLA, SLS, SLM, FDM) and vacuum casting, surface treatment, heat treatment, engineering support and other custom parts one stop solutions. We support one-off rapid prototypes, low-volume runs and mass production.
What manufacturing processes do you offer in house?
In house we provide 3-4-5 axis CNC milling, CNC turning/swiss-type turning, turn-milling machining, grinding, EDM/WEDM, Aluminum Extrusion, sheet metal stamping, laser cutting, injection molding（ die building, silicone molding, rapid molding, etc）, die casting, 3D printing(SLA, SLS, SLM, FDM) and vacuum casting.
What are your typical lead times?
Our standard lead time are 2-4 working days for samples and 5–25 working days for bulk order, subject to order volume and part complexity.
How does RPD protect data and intellectual property? Can you assure me that my design will remain confidential?
RPD adhere to strict Intellectual Property (IP) protection protocols. We are fully prepared to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before receiving any sensitive data to ensure your proprietary designs remain secure.
What is your quality control system?
We perform first article inspection (FAI), in-process checks and final dimensional inspection. We can provide inspection reports, CMM reports, material certificates and surface finish documentation as required. We operate under a rigorous Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards. Our 5 Steps QC process is including IQC (Incoming Quality Control) , FQC (Final Quality Control) , OQC (Outgoing Quality Control) for routine production.
QE (Quality Engineering) / CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) implemented throughout the entire product lifecycle, especially during the post-sale stage, to drive continuous improvement. Simply speaking 100% inspection before shipment to ensure zero defects.
What kind of quality assurance or warranty do you offer on orders?
One of the reasons engineers purchase from RPD is that we take on all the risks for you. We guarantee you’ll love what you get. Not happy with it? We’ll either redo it or give you a full refund. Your purchase is completely risk-free.
How to work with RPD? What's the order process?
The standard steps are: Request Quote -> Order Confirmation -> Pay Deposit -> Manufacture -> Order Ready & Inspection -> Balance -> Ship & Track -> Order Arrival. Don’t worry, upon ordering, you will be assigned a senior project manager. You will get update from my team via email or phone.
What software do you support for design & programming? What CAD files can you accept?
CAD: SolidWorks, CATIA V5, Siemens NX (UG), PTC Creo, Fusion 360
CAM: Mastercam, PowerMill
2D Drawing: AutoCAD
File formats accepted: STEP, IGES, STP, X‑T, SLDPRT, CATPart, PRT, DWG, DXF, STL, we prefer STEP format.
What materials can you machine?
We work with metals and plastics: aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium, POM, ABS, PC, PEI, PEEK and more. We can also source specialty materials per your drawing requirements. For more materials, you also can reference this page.
What tolerances can you hold?
Typical tolerance ±0.01 mm for CNC machining; tighter tolerances down to ±0.002 mm are available on selected features upon request. For more tolerance standard, pls check tolerance standard pages.We follow GD&T standards and review your drawings for DFM feedback before production.
Can you provide surface finishing or heat treatment services?
Yes and not in house. Including anodizing, powder coating, plating, sandblasting, mirror polishing, brushed, passivation, heat treatment, painting and more surface finishing. We coordinate simple polish, brush, deburring and some secondary finishing in-house and some with trusted certified partners.
Do you offer DFM design review?
Yes. Our engineering team provides free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback after receiving your CAD files. Before quote, We’ll point out manufacturability risks, tolerance issues and cost-saving suggestions without extra charge.
Can you help modify my design?
We can offer engineering suggestions and minor design adjustments for manufacturability. If full design development is needed, we can discuss engineering support scope separately.
How long does it take to get a quote?
We follow standard quote workflow and provide official quote sheet, standard quote turnaround: within 24 working hours after receiving complete drawings and specifications. Complex projects may take up to 48 hours.
