What is Metal Stamping?

Metal stamping is a high-speed manufacturing process that converts flat metal sheets or coils into specific shapes using a press and tooling (dies). The press applies extreme force to the die, which cuts, bends, or forms the metal into the desired part, often in a single stroke or a series of strokes.

Unlike laser cutting or plasma cutting (which use heat), stamping uses solid tooling (dies and punches) to shape the material through mechanical force.

We offer 10 stamping processes (Blanking, Punching, Bending, Drawing, Deep Drawing, Fine Blanking, Coining, Embossing, Transfer Stamping, and Progressive Stamping) with in-house tooling, ISO 9001:2015 certification

What’s advantages of Metal Stamping?

Extremely High Speed & Low Per-Part Cost

Hundreds to thousands of parts per minute, much faster than laser cutting, machining, or 3D printing. Once tooling is paid for, per-part cost drops to pennies, making stamping ideal for 10,000+ parts.

Excellent Repeatability & Tight Tolerances

Millions of identical parts with minimal variation, consistent quality day after day. Precision stamping achieves ±0.002–0.005" (±0.05–0.13mm) tolerances, sufficient for most applications.

Complex Shapes in One Die

Produces intricate forms, deep draws, embosses, louvers, and multi-station features in a single die, reducing secondary operations and assembly time.

Minimal Material Waste & High Strength

Progressive dies and nesting achieve > 85% material utilization, less scrap than machining. Cold working increases material strength, making parts stronger than the original sheet.

Good Surface Finish & No Heat-Affected Zone

Smooth, consistent finish directly from the die, often no secondary finishing required. As a cold process, there is no heat distortion and no material property changes.

Automated Operation & Wide Material Range

Coil feeders, scrap handling, and part stacking run unattended, reducing labor costs. Works with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, and exotic alloys.

Metal Stamping Capabilities from Prototyping to Mass Production

transfer die metal stamping

Single-Step Die Metal Stamping

In one stroke of the press, only one operation is completed. If a part requires multiple operations, it must be processed across multiple presses or in multiple strokes on the same press, typically relying on manual feeding between operations.

Simple die structure makes manufacturing cost low,Ideal for new product trials, low-volume production, or large parts.

Progressive Die Metal Stamping

A single die contains multiple stations. The material (coil stock) is driven by an automatic feeding mechanism,  operations such as punching, drawing, bending, and blanking are completed sequentially until the finished part is cut off from the carrier strip.

High-speed presses can reach 1,000+ SPM, very high output per hour. Fully automatic, saves labor; high material utilization, less scrap; very low per-part cost for large quantities.

Transfer Die Metal Stamping

It combines features of both single-stage and progressive dies. At the first station, the blank is cut free from the carrier strip, Then mechanical fingers (or grippers) transfer this independent blank between stations (dies/presses) at high speed.

Can process complex geometries that progressive dies cannot handle and
produce larger parts.

Bead BlastingAll metalsmatte, metal colorBead blasting is used mainly for visual purposes and comes in several different grits which indicate the size of the bombarding pellets.
Powder CoatingBlack, white, etcPowder coating is typically used because it has a longer lasting, tougher finish than painting.
AnodizingClear, black, grey, red, blue, gold.etcAnodising is used to increase surface hardness, wear resistance and durability of metals such as Aluminium.

 Tolerances of Metal Stamping

Our precision metal stamping services deliver accurate, repeatable parts for aerospace, automotive, telecom, and electronics industries.

Tolerance control – We fine-tune tool and die design to meet your requirements, though tighter tolerances increase cost and complexity.

Typical tight-tolerance parts – Brackets, clips, connectors, inserts, fittings, appliance components, aerospace and automotive parts, medical devices (implants, surgical instruments, housings, pump components).

Quality assurance – Regular post-run checks, TPM program monitoring tool wear (especially D2 steel), and check-fixture measurements ensure consistent quality for long-run stamping lines.
